Expectations and Conduct Policy

Participants' conduct should reflect Sigma Chi's high ideals and enhance the reputation of our Fraternity. Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop (KTLW) is an event at which our members' actions are highly visible; therefore, participants should take extra care with their words and actions.

The Education and Leadership Board (ELB) will continue a policy of no alcohol anywhere on campus, including in the residence halls. All alumni are prohibited from consuming alcohol beginning at opening session on Thursday morning through closing session on Saturday evening. During unscheduled time and while off-campus, no attempt will be made to dictate participants' actions. If you do go out, please act responsibly. If you are driving, assign a designated driver.

Any damage to residence hall rooms or any other facilities will be the financial responsibility of the individuals who cause the damage. In the event that damage or loss occurs in public areas of the living facility, such as lounges or hallways, and the person responsible cannot be identified, all chapters that had attendees residing on that floor may be held responsible for damages. Tampering with fire extinguishers or alarms will lead to an automatic fine and disciplinary action.

Security personnel will be in the residence halls during the late evening hours. They are there for your safety and should be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Their presence will in no way impede your fun, as long as you observe university policies, local ordinances and state laws.

Violations of any of the above guidelines will result in disciplinary action, which may include dismissal from KTLW. None of the faculty or staff has any desire to act as police; we trust that your responsible behavior will eliminate the need for such action.

If there is a violation in policy, including, but not limited to the misuse of alcohol, drugs, or other behavior unbecoming of a Sigma Chi that results in expulsion from KTLW, the individual in question will be asked to leave at his own expense.
